Certificate IV Project Management is a course designed for those who have no experience in projects. The course aims to develop your skills to work in job roles such as:
- project administrator
- project co-ordination
- project support officer
- project management office role
- project officer (technical) –depending on your skill set
Certificate IV Project Management will take your work skills and apply them to a whole new way of using them with a project management approach. With a Certificate IV in Project Management you will be able to assist with guidance to others on a project team.
This qualification will:
• provide with practical Project Management techniques to plan, organise, control, document and close out projects successfully and with minimum risk.
• provide skills to analyse, design, develop, implement, monitor, report and finalise projects that deliver integral solutions and applications in your business and personal environments.
• provide skills to assist with finding solutions to a range of unpredictable problems, and analyse and evaluate information from a variety of sources.
• enable students to apply project management methods such as communications time management, cost management, quality management, human resources, risk management and contract and procurement procedures.
Qualification
As part of the Australian Qualifications Framework this program is nationally recognised. On successful completion students will be awarded the nationally recognised Certificate IV in Project Management.

Schedule and Nominal Hours
The course is scheduled over a 60 day period with 390 nominal hours for completion of all course requirements.
Pre-requisites: Some project management experience is helpful, but not required.
Pathway: This Certificate leads to a Diploma of Project Management or Advanced Diploma of Project Management or other courses which have requirements f or the project management competencies.
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
Recognition of Prior Learning is available to those who have demonstrable competency and relevant experience in the work related competencies and/or other relevant qualifications for part or the whole of this Qualification.
